The story of Happy
Long, long ago, before Happy the hare was on Earth, he lived high above everything... on the moon. Every evening, Happy sat there quietly watching. Down below, at the Earth.
From the moon, he saw how life there was always busy. The days passed quickly. Children grew a little bigger every day. Sometimes there was hustle and bustle, and sometimes there were worries, but in between, Happy also saw something very beautiful: little moments of happiness. A hug, a smile, and just being together.
On the moon, Happy had learned something important. That some things don't happen faster when you're in a hurry. That growing takes time. And that peace, the same rhythm over and over again, and being close to each other are not extras, but very important.
Happy didn't want to be admired. He wanted children to be able to grow at their own pace and parents to be able to rely on repetition, closeness and attention. On things that remain, even when everything around you changes.
That's why Happy decided to leave the moon. Not to replace her, but to take her idea with him. The idea that love can be gentle. That care doesn't have to be loud. That there is strength in coming back again and again.
On Earth, Happy became a loyal companion. Someone who is close, without imposing herself. Someone who reminds us of what is already good. Of looking, holding on and trusting.
When evening falls and the moon reappears, Happy knows where she comes from. And when she says, ‘I love you, to the moon and back,’ she means not only distance, but connection. Between where you are and where you once began.
So every day, Happy carries a piece of moonlight with her. Not to shine, but to give direction. For parents and children.
